It’s hard to imagine Love Island’s Tasha Ghouri with anything but her beachy blonde hair. However, an unearthed Instagram video from last year shows the model wearing a completely different hair colour and style – and it’s hard to even recognise her.
“Hi.. meet Elektra,” she captioned the video.
If the clip hadn’t been posted by Tasha herself you’d probably never guess that it was the Love Islander dancing around. Instead of her current mid-length blonde tresses, Tasha can be seen sporting a much darker and very glossy raven colour. She also added extra drama to the look with an eyelash-skimming fringe.
“Dark hair suits you,” praised one fan, while a second wrote: “Omg you actually suit this so much.”
A third commented: “You with black hair is next level Megan fox realness.”
The darker look didn’t last long, though, as Tasha returned to her grid with blonde hair shortly after posting the transformation. She did give fans an update on the faux hair she used to create the illusion of a hair colour change: a wig from Lullabelz.
Despite Tasha looking like a natural blonde, her real hair colour is actually quite a bit darker than the honey-blonde she’s currently wearing on the ITV2 show – hence why she actually suits this brunette shade from last year. In a pre-Love Island fan Q&A on Instagram, Tasha treated fans to a look at her hair without any bleach or colour in it.
Answering a question about whether or not her hair is naturally blonde, Tasha wrote: “It’s not! Mousey brown. This also used to be my natural length.”
In the same Q&A, Tasha also got candid about cosmetic treatments. The 23 year old model answered another follower’s query about whether she’d had any tweakments. “Have you ever had any cosmetic work done / would you?” they asked.
“I only have had 0.5ml lip filler. Apart from that, nothing else,” Tasha answered the question. “We all have insecurities, I have had many thoughts that if I get certain cosmetics would I book more jobs etc? But I’m happy with the way I look & I don’t judge people who do get cosmetics because it’s purely their choice and their happiness.”
Amen to that, Tasha.
