Universal Credit warning as many could face payment cut next month – are you affected? | Personal Finance | Finance

On July 31, 2021, the Minimum Income Floor rules will come back into play and could therefore impact the amount a person receives.

It is estimated by the charity Turn2Us that the average cut to a worker’s benefit payments could work out as £3,200 per year.

Previously, the Government took action to continue to suspend the Minimum Income Floor as the effects of the pandemic were felt.

The first regulations suspending the Minimum Income Floor were scheduled to expire on November 12, 2020.
