There are two types of State Pension depending on a person’s age.
For those who reached State Pension age before April 6, 2016, the full amount is £134.25 a week.
This is due to rise to £137.65 a week, which equates to £7,157.80 a year.
The New State Pension is given to those who qualified for State Pension on or after April 6, 2016.
The current New State Pension weekly payment amount is £175.20, rising to £179.60 from April this year.
This equates to £9,110.40 annually in 2020/2021 and £9,339.20 a year in 2021/2022.
