The government’s website also provides it’s own tool for helping people find out what support they can receive if they’ve been affected by coronavirus.

Coronavirus forced millions to seek out state support in 2020, with data released by the government in mid-December showing around 5.8 million people claimed Universal Credit between March and late 2020.

This was a rise of around 94 percent.

Geographically, demand was highest in London which saw an increase of 126 percent, with the south east seeing claims jump to 112 percent.
