Royal weddings are an exciting time for many, not least for the Windsor family. Today, freelance writer Lady Gabriella Windsor will tie the knot with financier Thomas Kingston. The royal, 38, is the daughter of Prince and Princess Michael of Kent, and is 52nd in the line of succession to the throne. Her older brother, Lord Frederick Windsor, 40, is a father-of-two, and is 49th in line to the throne.

What is known about Lord Frederick?

He is a non-working royal, instead having pursued a career as a financial analyst.

Lord Frederick is also known to some as the more informal Freddie Windsor.

For his education, the royal studied at the independent schools Wetherby School, Sunningdale School, and Eton College.

He later went on to become a student at Magdalen College, Oxford, and gained a 2:1 in Classics.

During his lifetime, Lord Frederick has been a trainee at a bank, as well as working as a fashion model for a Burberry campaign, and the designer Tomasz Starzewski.

Now a banker, he works as Vice President at JP Morgan.

Lord Frederick married his wife Sophie Winkeman, 38, in 2009.

The couple got engaged the same year, on Valentine’s Day.

Sophie first shot to fame upon forging her own career in the acting world.

She has appeared in films including the 2005 film The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, The Palace, and Two and a Half Men.

Her royal in-laws are not the only well-known faces that Sophie is related to.

Her mother is the children’s author Cindy Black, and her father is Barry Winkleman, who published the Times Atlas of World History.

Sophie has a half-sister on her dad’s side, who is the TV presenter Claudia Winkleman.

The couple had their first child together in August 2013: a daughter, Maud Elizabeth Daphne Marina.

Fast forward to January 2016, and their second child, Isabella Alexandra May, was born.

Will Lady Gabriella Windsor change her name or get a new royal style following the royal wedding 2019?
