Real Housewives of Cheshire star Seema Malhotra is set to turn 50 in August, but it’s safe to say the brunette beauty is looking as youthful as ever.

In a candid chat with OK! Online, Seema shared just the beauty secrets behind her always beautiful appearance, admitting “having a positive attitude” plays a big part.

“With age you learn that your health is your wealth. I’ve been leading a healthier lifestyle and exercising, but I think my biggest secret is having a positive attitude towards life,” the star explained.

She added: “We’ve had a crazy year, and I think more than anything what I’ve learnt as I’m getting older is that I’ve really got to take care of my skin.”

Seema recently joined forces with a close friend Khatra Paterson launch new luxury medical company KP Aesthetics.

The RHOC star continued: “I’ve had certain treatments and invested in a clinic with my friend who is amazing. I’ve been having some brilliant facials, including the HydraFacial which I’m obsessed with at the moment, and little tweakments that have made me feel better and it’s worked my skin.”

It hasn’t always been plain-sailing for the star, with Seema detailing a battle with “adult acne” in her forties.

Seema, who is joined by new housewife Debbie Davies for the latest series, explained: “I think mid-40s when I went through the peri-menopause stage, my skin really broke out and to have adult acne at the age of 45 is not what I wanted.

“I never used to have a routine, it was just a simple face wash, but now since I was introduced to new products I have a routine morning and night with around six steps I go through, from exfoliating to using oils and vitamin C serum. It sounds like it takes forever, but it becomes a part of your daily routine after a while.

“If I could give my younger self any advice it would be to wear sunscreen. It doesn’t matter if it’s warm or raining outside, you should wear sunscreen.

“I never did that. I have teenage sons and we were at a friends BBQ yesterday and I was like ‘put some sun screen on’ and they’re like ‘oh mum!’ and I say ‘well you’ll thank me for it when you get older.’

“We think we’re invincible but it’s so important.”

The gorgeous Real Housewives star, who has been married to her husband Sandeep for 28 years, also owns a successful fashion brand named Forever Unique.

Established by Seema Malhotra and her husband in 2008, the star admitted she never thought it would be as successful as it is.

Casting her mind back to how it all began, Seema, who was once approached to dress Beyonce, told OK!: “I got married in 1993 and we had retail shops and my dream was to create my own brand.

“We did it with a very small collection so that if it did go wrong it wasn’t a big mistake, so it was a very calculated risk that we took. We never thought it would become what it has.

“I won’t sit here and say the last year has been amazing because it hasn’t – it’s been tough for occasion wear. There hasn’t been anything going on and we’ve been hit quite hard.

“We’ve changed the products and branding but I’ve loved the challenge and I love that people are all still asking about the brand.”
