Neymar reportedly thinks PSG will accept a transfer offer from Barcelona that would see Antoine Griezmann move to the Parc des Princes.
The Brazil international was eager to seal a return to the Nou Camp during the summer but, ultimately, failed to get his move.
Neymar has flourished for PSG in the time since while Griezmann has struggled at Barcelona, managing just three goals so far.
And French outlet Le10 Sport claim the Samba forward believes he may return to Barcelona if Griezmann is included in the deal.
It is said that, over at the Nou Camp, club chiefs are beginning to have doubts.
They are supposed worried by the fact Griezmann is yet to strike up a relationship with Lionel Messi, either on or off the pitch.
The World Cup winner said as much himself recently, saying: “He is not someone who talks a lot and neither am I. It’s difficult.”
As a result, Barcelona could use the France international as bait in order to get a deal for Neymar over the line.
The player himself is confident that a swap deal would be accepted by PSG, who stood firm over the summer.
Barcelona tried offering the likes of Philippe Coutinho, Ivan Rakitic and Samuel Umtiti to the Ligue 1 titans.
But PSG were determined to keep hold of Neymar despite him agitating for a move away.
Meanwhile, the 27-year-old recently opened up on his failed move to Barcelona, explaining his reasons for wanting to return to the club he left in 2017.
“Everyone knows I wanted to leave,” he said.
“I made it very clear. I won’t go into details though, because it affects others.
“But I’m still a PSG player and my intention is to be happy on the pitch. My mind is on PSG.
“I always made it clear that I don’t have anything against PSG or the fans. They were personal reasons.
“I had my reasons and I tried my best to make it happen, but unfortunately they didn’t let me.
“It’s already happened, but this is the first and last time I want to talk about it. I’m only thinking about PSG.”
