“You can still send money, but this won’t go through straight away. Direct Debits and standing orders are unaffected and working normally.”
However, the building society reiterated that customers will be able to move cash between accounts and use their cards for purchases.
On top of this, Nationwide confirmed that its customers can still log-in to their Internet Bank and Banking app account and take money from cash machines.
As part of its service commitment, Nationwide promises to make sure its customers’ money remains “safe and secure”.
