Nashville actress Clare Bowen has reluctantly sold her home in Australia in the town she grew up in.

On Saturday, the 35-year-old, whose primary residence is in the US with her husband Brandon Robert Young, said that she doesn’t spend enough time there to keep it.

‘I’d keep it if I was there more. We are fortunate to travel internationally quite a bit and to have the careers we have, but it means we are away a lot,’ Clare told The Daily Telegraph.

The songstress said that the waterfront home, in Minnamurra in the Illawarra region of New South Wales, is too beautiful for someone not to enjoy it on a regular basis.

‘There is no place like it in the world. It’s where I sat and dreamt my dreams and got brave enough to follow them,’ said Clare.

‘I wrote songs in my head as a kid while kayaking upriver through the mangroves,’ she added.

Built in the 1980s, the home features five bedrooms and three bathrooms and overlooks the Minnamurra River.
