Man Utd star makes Paul Pogba to Real Madrid transfer revelation – ‘I’ll steal his phone’ | Football | Sport

is currently seeking a big-money move away from following a turbulent season at Old Trafford.

United boss Ole Gunnar Solksjaer is eager to retain the Frenchman’s services, though it’s understood the club are willing to cash in on the 26-year-old if their £135million valuation is met.

Pereira hopes Pogba decides against leaving Old Trafford a second time and has jokingly claimed he’ll steal the World Cup winner’s phone to prevent him from speaking to his agent or anyone who can help engineer him a move away from the club.

“If necessary, I’ll steal his phone so he can’t speak to anyone,” joked Pereira.”I learn from him every day.

“He’s one of my best friends and I’ve known him since I was 16.”He’s family to me.”

Pogba revealed his desire to leave Manchester United last month at an Adidas event in Tokyo, to the surprise of many fans.

He said: “For me, I have been for three years in Manchester and have been doing great; some good moments and some bad moments, like everybody. Like everywhere else.

“After this season and everything that happened this season, with my season being my best season as well.

“I think for me it could be a good time to have a new challenge somewhere else. I am thinking of this: to have a new challenge somewhere else.”

Solskjaer believes the Frenchman can play an integral role for United next season and plans to entice him to stay at the Theatre of Dreams by offering him the vice-captaincy.

“I can give him a new challenge,” said Solskjaer. “I’ve said many times about Paul that he’s a top, top, boy and a great player and he’s never, ever been a problem.

“I’ve not been upset by anything he’s said, because we’ve had many conversations and I know exactly what Paul is thinking.

“I’ve got to be careful – I can’t dive into all this and hypothetical questions and all that. But we’ve not had offers. I can say the same about whichever player.

“If we don’t get an offer for a player we would have to pay them out for them not to be here, don’t we, so we haven’t had offers.

“When we get Paul playing as he did when I came in, and if we get him playing like that again, he’ll even win you lot over as well.”

United kick off their Premier League season on August 11, welcoming Europa League winners Chelsea to Old Trafford.
