United host PSG tonight in the first leg of their Champions League last-16 clash.
The Red Devils go into the encounter in fine form having won ten of their last 11 in all competitions.
Pogba and Martial have shone in that run, with the midfielder having been rejuvenated since Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has taken over as boss.
Martial has also been given a new lease of life under the Norwegian, and goes into tonight’s clash full of confidence.
And Tuchel is wary of the dangers the pair pose.
“Well I don’t think there’s any surprise about Paul Pogba being a key player, he’s an incredible player,” the PSG boss said.
“He has wonderful qualities, he can do a lot of things, extremely strong, with the ball at his feet, he’s very good and very strong in challenges and one on ones, taking people on he’s always capable of making a difference.
“I think in my opinion he’s always dangerous offensively with Martial, they’re a very dangerous pairing.
“Pogba is dangerous in the penalty area as well when the ball comes in from the right and he arrives at the right time, he’s a very good header of the ball, a key player absolutely and he’s now becoming a leader, he loves playing for this club.”
When the Champions League draw was made in December, most expected PSG to waltz through this tie.
But since then, Jose Mourinho has been sacked by Manchester United and the Red Devils have seen an upturn in form.
And PSG goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon knows United will pose a threat to his team.
“Old Trafford is the temple of a great team with a very important history,” Buffon said.
“This tie must be confronted in a serious way and without any regrets. We’ll regret it if our way of playing isn’t expressed in the way that the match demands.
“Football is strange: two months ago, at the time of the draw, everyone thought that PSG would go through.
“Two months later, seeing what has happened with us and the developments at Manchester United, we are at the least on the same level now.
“This makes you understand how strange it is and how certain balances can swap around in the Champions League.”
