Man Utd boss Ralf Rangnick details private Edinson Cavani chat as transfer plans emerge | Football | Sport

Cavani started alongside Cristiano Ronaldo upfront in Rangnick’s 4-2-2-2 system for the first time against Burnley earlier this week.

After marking his return from injury with an equaliser at Newcastle in the game before, he provided plenty of energy and did enough to keep his place.

But because of the quick turnaround, it wouldn’t be surprising to see him drop to the bench against Wolves considering he played 90 minutes last time out.

But it’s clear Rangnick highly rates Cavani, and his comments make the chances of the veteran striker departing this month plummet.
