Liverpool will reportedly have to double their £10million valuation of Jamal Lewis if they’re to sign the Norwich full-back. The Reds are looking to bolster their strength in depth as they look to retain the Premier League title next season, with Manchester City expected to come back fighting.

Jurgen Klopp has been happy to call upon the services of James Milner at left-back when required.

It’s a role the veteran played for the entirety of the 2016/17 season before Liverpool snapped up Robertson from Hull.

Even then, the £8million Scottish international had to be patient for opportunities, with Alberto Moreno reinstated back into the fold.

Milner had made it clear to Klopp that he would be happy to do a job for the team but he wanted to return to midfield.

According to The Telegraph, Norwich feel they are under no pressure to sell and have therefore decided they will not sell the player for less than £20m.

That leaves Michael Edwards with a decision and he will need to decide whether he’s willing to pay that much for a player who will receive limited game-time.

The club will also have to relay that to Lewis, who was the subject of a £12million bid from Crystal Palace in January.

Liverpool are also exploring other options though, with Bournemouth’s Lloyd Kelly among those considered.

The Cherries ace was a target last summer before Bristol City priced Liverpool out of the deal.

Several stars are expected to leave the Vitality Stadium following their relegation to the Championship.

Given Kelly can play at both left-back and centre-back, he is a player of interest to Liverpool once again.

Olympiacos’ Konstantinos Tsimikas is another player the club have watched.
