We’ve been desperate for a peek inside the north London home of actress Lisa Faulkner and TV’s John Torode ever since their wedding on 24 October 2019.
The romantic ceremony, which both stars claimed was the ‘best day of their lives,’ was one of the sweetest and most heartfelt we’ve ever seen.
Ex Holby City star Lisa, 49, and MasterChef’s John , 55 – first met in 2010 on Celebrity MasterChef, which Lisa ended up winning -and are clearly still very much in love. Their Edwardian family home seems cosy and relaxed – exactly as you’d as you’d expect from this laid back pair.

The keen foodies spend a lot of time in their kitchen, which is equipped with all the mod cons two keen chefs need to practice their culinary skills together.
The sage painted wooden cabinets and fashionable open shelving displays vintage crockery and teapots. John and Lisa also have a wooden island unit for extra food preparation space while they’re both whipping up meals together. Glad it’s not just us making a mess in the kitchen!
John and Lisa’s kitchen has been the backdrop to many of their shows, or so fans had been led to believe. Recently they confessed that, actually, the series were previously shot in studios. ‘ So we take all our things so that it looks like home and then we feel like it’s like home,’ they explained.
The chilled out vibe the pair create makes for a lovely atmosphere. Lisa is a doting mother to her adopted daughter Billie, 14, who she shares with her former EastEnders actor ex-husband Chris Coghill.
She is also a proud stepmum to John’s four children. Marcel and Casper from a previous relationship, and two children Jonah, 12, and Lula, ten, who he shares with his ex-wife Jessica Torode
They also have two adorable pooches Rory Gilmore, named after the Gilmore Girls character, and Otto, who can be seen regularly walked around the leafy green open spaces in north London.
Thanks to the size of their brood, it’s a good job they have a lovely dining room opening up to the garden, and when social restrictions finally lift this summer they will no doubt be hosting some of their celebrity mates for BBQs. Pals include Lisa’s best mate Angela Griffin, and Amanda Holden.
John frequently buys his wife flowers, and calls her, ‘the love of my life.’
French doors look out onto the garden from the kitchen-diner – offering a lovely view during meals and excellent lighting for taking pictures. It also allows them to keep an eye on the dogs digging up the lawn!
‘We’ve always looked after each other, but it does feel different now,’ Lisa said recently of her marriage. ‘It feels like security. It makes me feel really warm inside.’
Lisa also revealed that she and John are “both romantics” and often leave little surprises for each other.
‘We’re still saying “hello husband” and “hello wife” to one another. Awwwwww!
