Joel Embiid in TEARS after Kawhi Leonard stunning buzzer beater to win Game 7 | Other | Sport

There’s a reason the words ‘Game 7’ are regarded as the best two words in sport and this game just proved that.

Jimmy Butler tied the game with just 4.2 seconds left on the clock, with Philadelphia looking as though they would force overtime.

But up stepped Leonard for one of the biggest shots in Toronto Raptors history.

The 2014 NBA Finals MVP was on fire all night, providing the offensive boost to keep Toronto in with a shout.

And he was once again handed the ball on the inbound pass.

Embiid was tracking Leonard all the way and seemed to put a strong contest on Leonard’s eventual shot attempt.

But time stood still as Leonard’s high arcing shot bounced off the rim, not once, not twice, not three but four times before falling in.

Leonard fell into the Raptors bench and was quickly surrounded by cheering team-mates and fans alike.

Embiid meanwhile looked aghast at what he had just witnessed happen, and immediately put his head in his hands.

The Philadelphia big man the burst into tears on the court, with Marc Gasol going over to console him.

The 76ers bench quickly surrounded Embiid to console him, but the tears continued as he made his way into the locker room.
