Simon Thomas has announced that he has tied the knot with Derrina Jebb four years after the tragic death of his wife Gemma.
The former Sky Sports presenter, 48, who is dad to Ethan, 10, from his marriage to his late wife Gemma, shared a photo of himself smiling widely while dressed in a suit as he walked down the aisle of a church on Sunday 4 July with Derrina, captioned: “Love. Wins”.
Dad-of-one Simon has praised Derrina, 30, for bringing his son “back to life”, after his mum tragically passed away at the age of 40 in 2017 just three days after she was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukaemia.

When did Simon and Derrina start dating?
Simon started dating Derrina, who works in the legal industry, in 2018, after the pair met through his church, with The Sun obtaining pictures of the pair grabbing coffee together.
A source told the publication: “The relationship came as a shock because it was not something Simon was looking for at all. But as soon as he met Derrina the pair had a connection.
“She is a Christian and the daughter of a well-respected minister.
“Their connection has gone from strength-to-strength and Derrina really has been a huge support for him through this awful time.”
When did they make their relationship official?
Simon posted a candid picture of Derrina and son Ethan sitting on the grass underneath a tree in April 2020, captioned: “The two I love most”.
The beautiful picture was flooded with sweet messages for Simon’s new relationship.
One penned: “Its so lovely to see that you have found happiness after such tragedy”.
Another added: “Beautiful pictures, so glad you have found happiness again Simon.”
“Wonderful to find happiness again and especially for Ethan. Here’s to a long and happy future for you all,” one wrote.
What has Simon said about Derrina?
Speaking on BBC Radio 5 Live, the presenter said: “Right from the early stages – she had this empathy towards me. She’s Christian as well and that’s important to me as a man of faith.
“She’s been an incredible support for me. She was the only person who would always pick up the phone.
“What I saw in her, I saw in Gemma. When she said my phone is always on, she meant it.”
