Ahead of the Christmas period, the star invited us into her gorgeous home.
She showed off five of her favourite things around the house, which she shares with her husband David O’Mahoney, nine-month-old Isla and their two dogs, Molly and Mabel.
The home is full of cool decor, like a neon pink ‘love’ sign, a plush star doggie bed and of course, lots of sparkling decorations to celebrate the holiday season.
Sat next to the giant fireplace, the bespoke sofa is extra long and covered in pink and pastel cushions to keep the family comfy on cosy nights in.
Underneath are hand-made cupboards, ideal for storing away any toys and unused bits and bobs.
“One day we were sitting in the living room and I said I’d love to have built-in shelves and cupboards, and I’d love a big family sofa that we could curl up on,” Ali explains.
“The next minute, he built one!”
On her husband’s handmade shelves sits a neon ‘love’ sign, which fills the homely room full of bright light.
“We had a neon love sign at our wedding as a photo backdrop,” Ali tells us.
“We hung onto it and have it up in here,” she says, sitting in her living room. I don’t know what the neighbours think because every now and then the living room looks bright pink. I love it and it reminds me of such a happy day.”
Set in a black frame, the photograph captures Ali with her new husband David, fresh from their nuptials and smiling from ear to ear.
“That photo particularly is really special. As well as doing the usual set up wedding pictures, the photographer also took loads of candid ones and really captured moments,” she says.
“It was a really grey, rainy day in London and it was the best day of my life.”
“That picture shows everyone with their umbrellas up. We were running out of the registry office trying to stay dry.”
“We can see some of our friends and family in that picture as well and it captures the feeling of the day.”
Ali and David found the gorgeous dreamcatcher on their babymoon, when Ali was about six months pregnant with Isla.
“We went to Lanzarote and had this lovely walk along the promenade and found a shop selling all kinds of bits and pieces,” she says.
Ali’s eyes fell on the dreamcatcher and she had to have it for her baby’s nursery.
“That was the beginning of designing our nursery and picking the colours.”
“We absolutely fell in love with that. I think it was the first thing we bought for her nursery.”
“It has a little bit of magic about it. I think Isla has a little bit of magic about her.”
The gorgeous dreamcatcher boasts tan-coloured tassels and mustard yellow, white and blue feathers, and a cute crocheted centre in burnt orange, pastel yellow and green hues.
The nursery boasts a pretty pink rocking horse, for when Isla gets older.
A plush brown caterpillar covers the side of Isla’s cot, with her name embroidered on its body
There’s also a giant brown teddy bear, white shelves filled with books and toys and cute little stars scattered across the wall.
Molly & Mabel
“The stars of the show,” exclaims Ali.
“Mabel’s my rescue dog who I’ve had for about 5 years. Molly we’ve had since she was a puppy.”
“They’re a massive part of the family. They’ve always been our babies and they trained us up to be prepared to be parents.”
Ali says the pups have really bonded with Isla and she urges everyone looking for a new furry friend to adopt, don’t shop.
“If you ever get a dog, having a rescue is just the best thing ever. Mabel is so loving and such a happy, special little dog.”
