Michelle Dockery is currently lighting up screens in the hit Netflix series Anatomy of a Scandal.
The 40 year old’s performance on screen has left fans curious to learn more about her life off-screen and more importantly – who she is dating.
Earlier this year, the actress announced she was engaged to Jasper Waller-Bridge, brother of Fleabag star Phoebe.
Jasper, 34, is a film and TV producer having previously worked as Louis Tomlinson’s manager and met Michelle in 2019.
The couple met through mutual friends and were first spotted together at the Rome Film Festival.

A source said at the time: “It was all taken slowly and in a considered manner but they are really enjoying being together.”
Their engagement was announced in The Times where it read: “The engagement is announced between Jasper, son of Michael Waller-Bridge of King’s Lynn, Norfolk, and Teresa Waller-Bridge of Battersea, London, and Michelle Dockery, younger daughter of Michael and Lorraine Dockery of Gidea Park, Essex.”
The happy news comes six years on from the tragedy of Michelle’s fiancé John Dineen dying of a rare type of cancer age 34.
Michelle, who is known worldwide for her role in Downton Abbey, has previously spoken about the pain of losing John in 2015.
In an interview with the Guardian she said: “I don’t have the vocabulary to describe what it felt like. And what it still feels like.”
She continued: “I’ve never been more committed to anything in my life than to him. So at the time everything just shut down. Work, everything.
“Work didn’t matter. You suddenly become an [oncological] expert. This stuff becomes your world, and that of course was my priority.”
The Downton actress gave a moving eulogy at PR professional John Dineen’s funeral held in Cork.
Michelle said John was “my friend, my king, my hero, my everything”.
According to the Irish Independent, Michelle told the congregation: “I was honoured to know John. To love him and be loved by him.”
The award-winning actress then sang John’s favourite song, ‘The Folks Who Live on the Hill’, saying she used to sing the song to her partner.
Michelle described John as “an extraordinary man who would be hugely missed by his family and friends”.
She went on to discuss John’s wonderful personality, saying he was “charming, pragmatic and cheeky” and that his “charm was legendary”.
“Whether in his work or his personal life he was extremely loyal. It was clear that when John was in your corner he was there,” Michelle said.
“We celebrate him, we honour him and we’ll miss him.”
After John’s death, Michelle referred to herself as a widow: “Oh, I refer to myself as a widow, yes. We were engaged, and married at heart, and so I do consider myself a widow.”
