HSBC: Some Britons may gain up to £100 in compensation – bank admits ‘substandard’ service | Personal Finance | Finance

Those who have been in debt to the firm between 2010 and 2019 may be able to receive compensation, following a recent review.

HSBC Group undertook an internal review, which showed some instances where customers who were in arrears did not receive the quality of service expected from the lenders.

Such examples include customers receiving letters which were worded in a way which did not engage or help customers who may have been struggling with debt.

It is not currently clear how many customers will be affected by the review, but people should keep an eye out.
