We love it when a soap star treats themselves to a hair makeover, and Hollyoaks star Sarah Jayne Dunn has just done exactly that ahead of celebrating the big 4-0 later this month.
Previously having long layered hair that fell past her shoulders, the 39 year old now sports a long bob with fresh curtain bangs – getting in on one of the biggest hair trends of the moment.
“Birthday celebrations begin this evening (two weeks early) starting with a new do,” she captioned the Instagram post showing off her new ‘do, tagging her hair stylist Calum Tierney and Terence Paul Salons. “And a birthday meal @piccolinohale, bring it on!”
The new haircut went down a treat with Sarah Jayne’s followers, who rushed to compliment her on the “classy” and fresh new look.
“That hair is just perfect on you!!” one fan commented, while another exclaimed, “BOOOOOOOM! Love it. Suits you very very much.”
Meanwhile a third fan added, “I love your hair that length. So classy,” and a fourth said, “I absolutely love this hair on you”
One follower even compared the star’s new curtain bangs to a very famous 70s icon. “Omg. You’re giving me Farrah Fawcett vibes,” they wrote, “Stun.”
Continuing to give us an insider look at her beauty regimes, Sarah Jayne also filmed her visit to the Skulpt clinic for the lifting Morpheus8 treatment around her jawline, documenting the process as well as those all-important results.
“I’m a little bit red but nothing major, the numbing cream has worn off now and there’s no pain,” she told her fans on Instagram Stories after the treatment. “I can’t put anything on my face now for at least 48 hours.”
She added, “I’ve booked in for a month’s time for my next treatment but it was totally bearable. If you’ve had a child or a tattoo or any sort of injectable then you’d easily be able to deal with it unless you’ve got a really, really low pain threshold. Next time I’m going to have it around my eyes as well.”
We do love it when celebrities give us an insight into their beauty routines.
