It has been confirmed that Lola are making a sensational return to motorsport as a Formula E powertrain supplier, starting next season which begins towards the end of 2024.

The historic British manufacturer has formed a multi-year technical partnership with Yamaha, who are best known in the racing world for being one of the most successful manufacturers in MotoGP history.

Nissan become first manufacturer to commit to Formula E Gen4 era

Nissan has become the first manufacturer to commit to the Gen4 era of Formula E, and will remain in the category until at least 2030.

The Japanese manufacturer’s announcement comes ahead of this weekend’s inaugural Tokyo E-Prix, dubbed as the biggest race in the sport’s history.

Günther: Tokyo masterclass ‘feels so special’

Maximilian Günther described his stunning Tokyo E-Prix victory as “special”, with the German having thrown himself right into title contention.

The Maserati driver missed out on pole position ahead of the race in the Japanese capital by just 0.021s, following a thrilling final duel against Oliver Rowland.

Safety car cost special home victory – Rowland

Oliver Rowland was frustrated to miss out on victory in the inaugural Tokyo E-Prix on Saturday, but admitted that the race’s only safety car played a defining factor.

The British driver started Nissan’s home race from pole position after defeating Maximilian Günther in the final duel by 0.021s, continuing his unbeaten streak in the duels.

Dennis relieved as Tokyo podium ends worrying run

Jake Dennis was a relieved driver after the Tokyo E-Prix, as he revealed that he is finally feeling “at one” with his Porsche 99X Electric Gen3.

The reigning world champion finished in third to the delight of Andretti, after he narrowly lost a rostrum at the recent round in São Paulo following a final lap problem. Prior to that, he finished in P12 in the second of two races in Diriyah.

Cassidy loses championship lead despite ‘really fast car’

Nick Cassidy has lost the lead of the drivers’ championship to Pascal Wehrlein after a frustrating Tokyo E-Prix, which he made up 11 places in.

The New Zealander had looked good during free practice and initially progressed into the duels, however, the Jaguar driver saw his best lap deleted.
