Harry Kane wants his future settled by the start of the Euros early next month after reportedly reiterating his desire to leave Tottenham at the end of the season. Manchester United, Chelsea and Manchester City are among the clubs to make it clear to the player’s representatives they would like to explore a deal if he is available.

Kane apparently wanted to leave Spurs a year ago only to be convinced to stay another year in hope that Jose Mourinho could lead the club to silverware.

The Portuguese was of course sacked last month despite it having looked in December like Spurs would compete for the Premier League title this term.

Under Ryan Mason, the north Londoners went on to lose the Carabao Cup final – which Mourinho led the club to – in convincing fashion to Man City, though the scoreline was only 1-0.

With two games left of the league season, they sit sixth and 24 points adrift of newly-crowned champions City.

Sky Sports say Kane has told Spurs he would like to move on in the summer transfer window following the club’s 14th successive season without silverware.

The odds are against Tottenham to qualify for next season’s Champions League, which is likely to have factored into Kane’s thinking too.

Yet the England captain is said to want to a move secured by June 11, when this summer’s Euros gets underway with Turkey facing Italy in Rome.

England face Croatia in their Group D Wembley opener two days later with Kane expected to lead the Three Lions out on home turf as skipper.

And getting a deal done in the short window before then is likely to be immensely difficult for United, Chelsea or City for a multitude of reasons.

Spurs chairman Daniel Levy is a notoriously difficult man to negotiate with and will be particularly stubborn over his club’s most prized asset.

Kane is likely to demand a fee of at least £150m given he has more goals than everyone in the Premier League bar Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah and also more assists than any other player.

Mason said: “Harry Kane loves this football club. That’s been proven over the last seven or eight years. He’s one of the best strikers in the world.

“Everyone knows that, we know that and I’d like to think Harry knows that as well.

“No, I’ve not spoken to Harry. Harry is a constant professional. There haven’t been and there won’t be any conversations with me and him regarding anything apart from the training day or the match ahead.

“He’s one of the most professional guys I’ve ever met in my life.”

Spurs meanwhile take on Aston Villa at home on Wednesday night before ending their season away to FA Cup winners Leicester on Sunday. Kane will hope to add to his goal tally in his Golden Boot battle with Salah, with both currently tied on 22 strikes.
