Pietro Fittipaldi will continue as the Haas Test and Reserve driver for the 2023 Formula 1 season.
The Brazilian has held the role since 2019 and most recently made two FP1 appearances in 2022 at the Mexico and Abu Dhabi Grand Prix for the team.
He made his F1 debut at the 2020 Sakhir and Abu Dhabi Grands Prix, standing in for Romain Grosjean who was hospitalised after his fiery Bahrain GP crash.
Fittipaldi has continued in a reserve driver role since then, and will provide backup to Kevin Magnussen and Nico Hulkenberg in 2023.
After the termination of their UralKali sponsorship at the start of 2022, Haas recently signed digital person-to-person company MoneyGram on as their title sponsor in a multi-year deal.
The team are yet to announce when they are going to reveal their 2023 car, although it could be unveiled at the Bahrain pre-season test at the end of February.
Fittipaldi said that he is “excited” to continue his role at the team in a post on social media.
