FIA issues Horner statement as Massa addresses crashgate lawsuit

The FIA release Horner statement

Fresh claims have been made into the investigation into Red Bull boss Christian Horner, with BBC Sport claiming that the woman involved has lodged a complaint with the FIA’s Ethics Committee.

It is claimed that the FIA had received two previous whistleblowing reports, including one after the Bahrain Grand Prix, with the grievance against Horner being dismissed by Red Bull GmbH on the eve of the season-opener.

The saga took a new twist when Red Bull suspended the woman on full pay, with the FIA putting out a statement in repsonse to the claims from BBC Sport.

Massa talks crashgate

RacingNews365 managed to grab a chat with Felipe Massa in Sao Paulo ahead of the E-Prix, won by McLaren’s Sam Bird after a stunning last lap overtake on Mitch Evans.

It was Massa’s first public statement since he lodged a lawsuit in London’s High Court over crashgate at the 2008 Singapore Grand Prix, with the FIA, Formula One Management (FOM) and Bernie Ecclestone the subjects.

Nick Golding caught up with the Brazilian.

Steiner’s statement

Guenther Steiner is busy carving a media career for himself after departing as Haas team boss over the winter.

In his new F1 column, he has revealed that he feels he stayed for too long at the team he helped to found, having been at the helm for every race from their debut at the 2016 Australian Grand Prix to the 2023 finale in Abu Dhabi.
