Ferrari to run special yellow livery for the Italian Grand Prix

Ferrari will run a special yellow livery to mark their 75th anniversary and the 100th year anniversary of the Monza circuit.

The yellow is a tribute to ‘Giallo Moderna’ – a reference to the Italian village which founder Enzo Ferrari grew up in, of which the official colour was yellow.

This is also the reason why the yellow background exists on the iconic prancing horse logo.

The changes will be visible on the front wing, around the halo, on the engine cover and the rear wing.

The special livery will be run this weekend at Monza which hosts the 16th round of the 2022 F1 World Championship.

In addition, the team also released special one-off yellow t-shirts which were modelled by drivers Carlos Sainz and Charles Leclerc on social media.

Ferrari has run special commemorative liveries in the past, including a darker shade of red at the 2020 Tuscan Grand Prix to mark their 1000th race in F1.
