Ferne McCann has just shared a photo showing herself doing something we’ve all done a lot of this last year – enjoying a takeaway from her favourite restaurant.
But, probably unlike most of us, the TOWIE star has seriously glammed up for the occasion, donning a little black dress, pearls and a chignon to copy Audrey Hepburn’s iconic character in Breakfast at Tiffany’s – which Ferne reveals is one of her favourite films.
In a sponsored Instagram post, Ferne is seen in a series of tongue-in-cheek photos enjoying sushi, a croissant and a cone of chips dressed up as the kooky yet loveable Holly Golightly – complete with chopsticks to replace the cigarette holder from the original image.
Ferne, who recently stunned in a figure-hugging dress, explains in the post’s caption that this costume is to promote The British Takeaway Awards, which are compared to “the Oscars of the takeaway industry” – hence the reference to the 1961 film, which won two Academy Awards.
“I love to cook, but I also love a cheeky takeaway,” the First Time Mum star says. “They’ve genuinely been one of my few pleasures during lockdown!”
In her Instagram stories, Ferne reveals that Holly’s trademark hairstyle – an elegant updo held in place by a sparkly tiara – was created by celebrity hairstylist Sarrah Hamid, while the classic 60s make-up of a feline flick of black eyeliner paired with a pink lip was created by make-up artist Huda Okuonghae.
“The best shoot. Unforgettable. Love this look, thank you darling,” Ferne commented underneath the post Huda shared on her own account.

Ferne’s celeb pals seem to love the transformation, too. Her I’m A Celeb campmate Vicky Pattison commented: “This is UNREAL,” while fellow TOWIE star Chloe Meadows simply wrote: “Love this”.
And Ferne’s not the first famous face to imitate Audrey Hepburn’s much-loved character. Kelly Brook, Emma Barton and Colleen Rooney have all posed as the beauty icon, while Kim Kardashian, Anne Hathaway and Lily Collins have also seemingly taken inspiration from the gamine actress’s style.
While long silk gloves and a tight-fitting dress may not be the most practical outfit to wear while eating a takeaway, we’re impressed by the effort Ferne has gone to for dinner!
