In 2019 both the twins competed alongside each other at the Junior World Championships, where they both finished in sixth place together.

From their Instagram it seems like the twins have a very close bond and get up to pretty much everything together.

Jessica told Tokyo 2020 that she received the call telling her that she’d made Team GB for the Tokyo Olympics, before Jennifer.

“I received my news first. We were excited for me but still a bit nervous to hear Jen’s news, but as soon as we heard hers we were all in tears and just everyone was so excited.”

Jennifer said she couldn’t believe her and her sister had made the team together: “I heard her news and I was so happy, but then, like, I don’t want to get my hopes up – would I get in? – but then as soon as I had the phone call, I was just like, we’ve done it together.”

One gymnast both the girls really admire is four-time gold medalist, Simone Biles, who they’ll be competing against at the finals this Thursday.

“She’s just won everything,” said Jess. “She’s like the biggest thing you’ll ever know in gymnastics. Just seeing her there (at the Olympics) would be so shocking, just like we see her on the TV and we’ll just be like statues, silent, just like ‘oh my god’ whispering to each other. We’ll be so shocked.”

Jen also agreed: “Not many people can say they competed with Simone, which is such a big thing in itself.”
