The departure of Mattia Binotto triggered a merry-go-round of moves, leading to Frederic Vasseur to be name his successor.
This left a gap for Andreas Seidl, who was looking to return to working with the Volkswagen Group in 2025 at the end of his McLaren contract, subsequently taking up a role early.
The drivers used it as an opportunity to share their thoughts on the moves and pay tribute to their colleagues, while the remaining teams jokingly posted their take on the news.
Mercedes, Haas, Alpine give their take
Three out of the five remaining teams without senior management news still gave their takes on social media, with Mercedes electing to jokingly write ‘breaking news’ for an announcement that seemingly did not announce anything.
Alpine noted that Otmar Szafnauer, who joined from Aston Martin last winter, is now the sixth longest-serving team boss in Formula 1 after being at the team for nine months.
Haas meanwhile posted an ‘appreciation post’ for their Team Principal Gunther Steiner.
