Look, here at OK! HQ we don’t have any control over the fashion trends, our role is to feed them back to our lovely readers – and we know you aren’t going to be too convinced by this one.

First it was the Croc, the controversial foam style slip on shoe that many fashionistas had previously shunned but they suddenly made their way onto designer catwalk shows, and the humble Croc turned into a fashion must-have.

Next it was the clogs turn to take to the spotlight, the traditional wooden footwear hasn’t had its time in the spotlight since the late 70s – but 2021 has been the year for it’s return – whether we like it or not.

Celeb fans of the Croc include the likes of Justin Bieber, Kate Middleton, Sam Faiers, not forgetting 2021 Love Island cast members Chuggs and Faye.

In fact, searches for Crocs increased by 1,300% after the formerly controversial shoe was featured on the hit reality show – it seems these foamy shoes are this summers must have item.

If you prefer a more traditional style shoe, perhaps the clog is more your vibe. These wooden bad boys scream retro dressing, and look super cute paired with a floral midi dress and crochet accessories.

Fans of this classic choice over the years include style icon Rihanna, Amelia Windsor and Sarah Jessica Parker – so you know you’ll be in good company.
