Chelsea star Erling Haaland is a fan of Frank Lampard and has been linked with a transfer switch to the Blues in the future. The Borussia Dortmund striker is also wanted by Manchester United and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
Haaland has been in sensational form this season, netting 17 goals in all competitions.
Chelsea currently have Tammy Abraham, Timo Werner and Olivier Giroud as their options.
Lampard has been linked with 20-year-old Haaland though as he looks to close the gap on Premier League champions Liverpool.
The Norway international is a fan of the Chelsea manager and wishes he could have played with him back in the day.
In quick-fire Q&A with ESPN, Haaland was previously asked the one player he would have liked to play with and said: “Frank Lampard.”
Haaland’s opinion echoes that of new Chelsea signing Hakim Ziyech who joined from Ajax in the summer transfer window.
Ziyech said: “In his time he was such a big player and he was a midfielder so I can learn a lot from him. In that regard, I have a lot to learn.
“I had a good feeling after our talks and that feeling only became stronger. There was no doubt in my mind.”
Chelsea return to action on Boxing Day when they take on Arsenal in the Premier League.
On Ziyech, Lampard added: “He had an injury at the start of the season and he’s just got another muscle injury. You have to wait for it to recover.
“It’s not a long-term concern, we hope to have him back within the next week or so, and hopefully offering what he was before.”
Chelsea will look to get back to winning ways against Arsenal after losing against Wolves and Everton.
The Blues did pick up a dominant win last time out against West Ham though.
