Christian Pulisic is good enough to play for Barcelona, Real Madrid and Bayern Munich if he continues his fine form for Chelsea.
Pulisic arrived at Stamford Bridge from Borussia Dortmund with expectations of being a replacement for Real Madrid bound Eden Hazard.
But the American struggled to convince manager Frank Lampard of his quality and had to settle for cameos off the bench.
Then in the new year, he suffered an abductor injury which meant he was ruled out of action for several weeks.
The break for the coronavirus pandemic proved to be the turning point for Pulisic as he was able to fully recover and get fit.
And it showed as he was key in Chelsea’s battle to qualify for the Champions League, finishing the season with nine goals and six assists in 25 league games.
A hamstring injury in the FA Cup final defeat to Arsenal means Pulisic is once again on the sidelines and his pace and directness will be a significant loss for Chelsea.
Should Pulisic continue to be an influential figure, Europe’s top clubs will be keeping an eye on his progress.
And Gregg Berhalter, manager of the US national team believes Pulisic is capable of playing for the likes of Barcelona, Madrid and Bayern if he maintains his level.
“Christian is perfect for Chelsea. All dangerous offensive actions run through him, he shines as a goalscorer and as a creator.
“If Christian maintains this level, he can also play for the biggest clubs in the world like Bayern, Barcelona or Real Madrid without any problems.
