For Chelsea, landing Nkunku represents a significant coup.
The 25-year-old has been operating at a high level so far this season, scoring 12 goals from 15 Bundesliga appearances while also finding the net three times in the Champions League.
Nkunku impressed for Leipzig last term, too, managing 20 goals and 13 assists from 34 Bundesliga games – while also netting seven times in the Champions League.
Unfortunately for Chelsea, their agreement means they’ll have to wait to see the player in their colours – with Nkunku set to join next summer, instead of January.
However, his form in Germany suggests he’ll be worth the patience required and fans can now look forward to seeing him in action.
