Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel claims he ‘needs to talk’ to duo after Brentford struggles | Football | Sport

“Trevoh played some good matches so far, it’s very impressive, he seems to play without any nerves. He is very reliable and I hope he can continue like this.

“For Malang it was a bit more difficult. He was with us for two weeks and we had a feeling for him.”

It was always going to be a tough assignment for the stand-in centre-backs, as Ivan Toney has proven a handful for many respected Premier League defenders so far this campaign.

Ultimately, it was a credit to Chelsea’s defensive capabilities that they were able to keep a clean sheet despite the barrage of pressure and absence of regular starters.
