Barcelona chief Joan Laporta has four reasons to sack Ronald Koeman ahead of Granada clash | Football | Sport

Poor signings

Barcelona’s signings under Koeman have been questionable, even if their financial situation has forced his hand.

Miralem Pjanic was a disaster after arriving from Juventus, while Francisco Trincao spending the season on loan at Wolves speaks volumes.

Then, this summer, the decision to land Luuk de Jong on deadline day was utterly baffling.

They’ve signed a crock in Sergio Aguero, who is yet to play for the club, and Eric Garcia is no upgrade on Samuel Umtiti.

Barcelona have splurged millions and, while that’s mainly the board’s fault, Koeman has failed to get the best from his new acquisitions.
