“Brazil have called him up for their next two World Cup qualifiers and there’s even a great opportunity to be a part of Brazil’s World Cup squad this year.”
Kleberson came through the ranks at Atletico Paranaense and made over 100 appearances for the Brazilian side over two stints, and it was the same side that Guimaraes made his name at before being snapped up by Lyon in 2020.
Guimaraes signed for a reported £16million, and Lyon could look to make a healthy profit within the space of just two years should they negotiate a deal with Arsenal.
Kleberson now works as an academy coach out in the United States with Philadelphia Union, so has a natural eye for talent, and the Brazilian is clearly a big fan of the midfielder, just like many stars from his homeland.
It’s also reported that Atletico Paranaense would receive 20 per cent of any deal due to a sell-on clause in his contract, which would greatly benefit the club that Kleberson adores.
