Arsenal player ratings: Pressure mounts on Mikel Arteta as Everton earn 2-1 win | Football | Sport

Nicolas Pepe – 6

Calmly finished the penalty to make it 1-1. Was bizarrely left marking Mina when the defender brushed him off to score from a corner.

Eddie Nketiah – 6

Preferred over Alexandre Lacazette with Aubameyang out injured, Nketiah was handed just his third league start of the season but the youngster struggled with the lack of creativity on display. Had a golden chance to put Arsenal back on level terms in the first-half but struck it wide.

Willian – 4

The Brazilian has come under fire in recent weeks after a disappointing start to his Arsenal career and he once again struggled against Everton. Criticised by Graeme Souness for not sprinting back to try and defend the Iwobi cross which resulted in the opener.

Joe Willock – 6 (on for Elneny, 64 mins)

Gabriel Martinelli – 6 (on for Pepe, 70 mins)

Alexandre Lacazette – 6 (on for Nketiah, 75 mins)
