Antonio Conte ‘inclined to turn down’ Tottenham job and consider one-year sabbatical | Football | Sport

Tottenham may have to look elsewhere in their search for a new manager with Antonio Conte reportedly ready to turn down an offer from Spurs. Daniel Levy has been looking for Jose Mourinho’s successor since April with Conte emerging this week as the top target.

The Italian coach left Inter Milan after leading them to glory in the Serie A amid financial uncertainties at the club.

He’s since been targeted as Tottenham’s ideal target to come in as their new manager.

And reports this week have suggested that an agreement is close, but that doesn’t appear to be the case.

Sky Italy now claim that Conte has given no indication whatsoever that he is ready to take over at Spurs.

Negotiations are said to have taken place over the past few weeks, but Conte has ‘major doubts’ over taking over at Tottenham.
