If you are stuck for plans this weekend and missing Formula 1 action on TV, there are a number of ex-drivers who are competing in this weekend’s 24 hour race at Daytona.
The 61st running of the race will see a 61-car grid take to the circuit located in Florida, including over 200 drivers.
The Acura GTP, driven by IndyCar champions Helio Castroneves and Simon Pagenaud alongside sportscar ace Tom Blomqvist and Colin Braun, will start from pole ahead of the new Penske Porsche driven by former F1 driver Felipe Nasr, along with with Matt Campbell and Michael Christensen.
Other notable names competing in the field include Jack Aitken, who recently confirmed that he had severed his ties with Williams F1 team to focus on sportscar racing.
Six-time IndyCar champion Scott Dixon will also start from fourth in the Chip Ganassi Racing Cadillac.
Current F1 driver Kevin Magnussen was due to compete alongside his father Jan, but was ruled out due to a hand operation.
